Help, Mesh disappears in sections

Anonymous
Not applicable
Hi,

I have created a mesh onto a a normal surface. When I create a section and go to view it in the section window, the mesh is no longer visible. Then whenI return to 3D or 2D view, they mesh has bee deleted. If I try to go back prior to creating the section, the mesh is still no longer visible.

Any explanation for this please ?

Thank You

Maybe you just accidentally deleted the Mesh.
Can you reproduce it?
Can you write down the exact steps so we can try to reproduce it as well?

I think that it ' disappeared ' because I was viewing it in view map not project map... I'm not sure but I've got one working now.

I've got 4 days to basically learn ArchiCAD before the next Project starts at University, and we have no idea what it will be about until then. I've watched quite a few of the ArchiCAD tutorials ( by graphisoft ) and I'm more familiar with the layout options, though I didn't see a way of saving the elevations/sections to a scale, other than as a PDF file which adobe Indesign can't read properly... I could always print from ArchiCAD and work around the layout/text etc in Indesign later ( i.e put the page back through the printer after one application has done it's job )

Thanks to all who has helped me.

Yes, a View, when activated always restores the settings it was saved with: Scale, Layer Combination, Pen Set etc.

Did you do the Interactive Training Guides?
I would recommend the Experience BIM and the ArchiCAD Essentials ITGs:
