Creating VR Object/Fly-through Problem

Anonymous
Not applicable
See the picture below. When I create a fly-through or VR Object using the 3D window, i get these "freakin" lines in the movie, looks like a shaded-wireframe hybrid. I like using the 3D window to render these movies, it's quick and the quality would be just fine if not for these stupid lines! I've checked the settings and I don't know what is causing this..

I think its your graphics card, but I am not a hardware specialist.
I love the floating cars on the top floor

Graphics card, hmmm (I'm no hardware specialist either..).

The "floating" cars are in a garage above living space, a pretty trick maneuver up here in a very salty, cold environment.

I know this does not solve the cause of the problem but:
Can't you just turn off the layer of those cars when you do the VR/Fly-Through?
Or you want them shown?

Oh yes, I can turn off the cars. Would that help a lot with rendering time?

Well, try it on a short fly-through of a couple of frames and you will see.

Initial generation of the 3D model should definitely be shorter cause there will be fewer polygons. But maybe there would be a notable difference only if the 3d window is rebuilt for each frame.

Thanks Laszlo,

Any thoughts on the crazy lines?

BTW, when I started using ArchiCAD (Version 9) my first couple of days of training was sitting in front of the computer with headphones on listening to your "Virtual Tutor 9."

Does that make you my ArchiCAD father?

Virtual Tutor is the product of another Laszlo Nagy, who lives in Australia.
He is your father. You can do a DNA test.
