Roof and wall intersection in elevations

Anonymous
Not applicable
Hi there,

This is a problem that's been bugging me for YEARS.

I want to be able to set the same cover fill for walls and roof edges. I design a lot of houses that have minimal roof overhang.

The roof and the wall are exactly aligned in plan, they have the same material, same uncut line etc.

As you can see the slab and the wall are correctly displayed in the 2d elevation.

However, the roof refuses to display correctly. No matter what I do, the line is always there.

Is there fail-safe solution to this problem?

Works here, ArchiCAD 13, both via Trim to Roof and Solid Element Operations. If the roof edge and wall edge are aligned, and the wall surface and roof edge have the same material, I don't see why it would not work.

You should add a Signature to your Profile (click the Profile button near the top of this page) with your ArchiCAD version and operating system (see mine for an example) for more accurate help in this forum.
