extensive editing of my own created .gsm objects

i have created an object in which consists of just walls to replicate a shape that we need for a sketch wwe have created. i want to add extra walls to the already created object is there a way i can input walls and then trim the to the exact profile of my object.
any help would be much appreciated

You can either redefine the object (you should have kept the "parts" somewhere (we use a "Working Story") for just such an occassion), or you can use SEOs. The only drawback to SEOs is any trimming will not be evident in the plan view (the model is altered, but the 2D symbols remain the same).

SEO stands for Solid Element Operation. Found under the 'Design' menu in AC10 + 11.

i have been using that tool and i found that because the object profile i have made is made out of walls it doesnt seem to trim inside the object just on the outside. is there an option that i need to go through

It's really difficult to advise you without knowing exactly what you're dealing with -- can you post a screen shot of this object and explain the result you are looking for?
