Handling Image Transparency Accordingly

Seems to me a big fault in a software meant to handle architectural representation not having proper image transparency implemented. When we insert a transparent background PNG, Archicad ignores the transparency and assumes all white pixels are transparent. That current feature causes the following:

  • It is impossible to insert white icons with transparent background (Archicad turns it all to transparent). Generic example:

  • Alpha channel of images completely lose quality, ending up with sharp white pixels around it

Can't Archicad simply follow the image's alpha channel to define transparency?

I guess this was brought up years ago, but it is a very simple feature and doesn't appear anywhere in the roadmap, nor was implemented in AC27. As I mentioned, it is a big limitation when we intend to use Archicad in the whole design process, including setting up diagrams, presentations and such.
