This was mentioned before but I’ll mention it again, because I want to.
I’d like to see a scripting engine added to Archicad, with access to all object’s attributes and the ability to select, search, sort the same. Suggest that the script engine use a standard popular interpreter such as Ruby or Python. Note that Vectorworks now allows the use of Python. This would allow the design to quickly accumulate, calculate and display data in any custom manner not available now.
I would allow the scripts to be inserted in Macros that could be executed and inserted into the cells of custom spreadsheets or object labels. Any scripts and macros produced could be shared among the community.
I recognize that you can “somewhat” do this via the API but But the API Plugins are definitely outdated. And cumbersome for the average designer to use.
