AC 11 question: Find and Select Elements by Criteria

For an Object, the tool seems to recognize the settings in the Floor Plan and Section Panel, not the Parameters Panel. So, if one uses settings in the Parameters Panel, it appears to limit the use of the tool. Am I missing something?
