In your case, you'd use A Roof and Three Walls. Trim the walls to the roof.

A perfect example of a task for the 3D view.

but if all 3 top points arent in similar high ?

Placing the roof in the 3D window lets you place three points to establish the roof slope.

I've attached a view to indicate an easy way to find the bottom point.

The USA Manual has instructions on page 215.

Your first go-around with the roof points is to establish the slope plane.


THEN you must go around again to place them.

It helps to have real nodes to stick to when establishing the slope. that is why i showed the image with the shorter wall. Otherwise the roof can get lost in space.....

I'm working with you on this because it is tricky until you get the hang of it.

Sort of like not appreciating George Bush until he is hung.
