As noted here Display BMat IDs in attribute manager? - it should be possible to use the building material ID when managing it through the new (and old) manager. Its ridiculous that we can see the information in the popup but not in the list nor search for it.. ID, name and description is fundamentals for any definition and thus a baseline that should be met by any attribute manager.
